Success Stories
Douglas Krieger a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, has managed to establish and grow his mobile crane service in Key Largo, Florida. Being a subcontractor for HVAC installations on rooftops has allowed him to tap into the demand for such services, especially in an area prone to hurricanes and coastal flooding.
Krieger, sought assistance from the Florida Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) to secure funding for expanding his company. The VBOC’s support played a significant role in helping him obtain the necessary resources to acquire additional cranes and hire another full-time crane operator.
This success not only benefits Douglas and his business but also contributes to the local community by creating job opportunities and meeting the needs of building contractors in the region. The growth of his veteran-owned and operated business demonstrates the potential for veterans to thrive as entrepreneurs and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
